I’ve been reading fantasy books for a few months now, and this book has been refreshingly different. The magic in these books is much different to that of other stories from the way it’s used to the way it is created. Many books are veered toward romantasy, but I found this to be more fantasy with romance intertwined. It’s not too much and it’s not quite spicy. It was a good cleanse between series, and I can’t wait to jump into book 2.
