In this gripping tale of love and obsession, Anne Hale and Celeste King weave a story that delves deep into the complexities of desire, fear, and the inexplicable pull of the heart. Set in a world where freedom is a fleeting concept, the protagonist finds herself torn between the yearning for liberation and the magnetic attraction she feels towards her captor. While the book offers a cursory overview, its short length left me wanting more.
The narrative follows the journey of Sierra, a human woman whose life takes a tumultuous turn when she encounters Zephiro, a powerful shadow beast and hunter.
